Normally I bench press at my gym, but at home I only have one dumbbell. If I do a chest press with one arm at a time, and then switch, will I still get a good chest workout?

yes you will

this is a great exercise, to isolate the chest,
example: so if you are weaker in your left pec you can exercise the left more than the right so that your bench can even out

I’m 16, and i’ve been doing weight training for about 2 months now.
I have been working on my arms mainly, but have found out that they now look too big in proportion to my upper body?
Can someone please recommend a chest workout, that mainly focuses on the pectoral major and minor.
With reps and sets please.
I’m trying to build muscle mass not endurance :)

push ups and bench press will defiantly get your pecs bigger. when it comes to reps and sets you just have to challenge your self, not everyone is going to be using the same weight, every ones different. i would do about 50 push ups every day for 3 or 4 days a week (which should be nothing you have good arms). then when it comes to bench press pick a weight you can only rep about 6- 8 times and do 4 sets of that.

I want to do a good chest workout at home. I usually use freeweights, but I dont have those at home. I have a benchpress, but I don’t like to use to much weight because I dont have a spotter. What should I do to substitute those freeweight excercises, and what can I do with a benchpress, with less weight that I usually would use to do a regular bench press.

Pushup Pyramids.

These are a favorite among myself and my fellow Soldiers. They hurt, trust me! I wasn’t a believer until I tried it.

Basically you do one push up, and then come to your knees and do one military press (raising your arms about your head as if to “raise the roof”)… continue to 2 push ups, 2 presses, and so on and so forth up to 10, and then back down. Sounds easy enough, but it will kick your butt! The key is to not rest… even if it means going to your knees and doing “female” pushups.

You can also make the addition of weights to the military press part for extra umph.
